マシュウズがこの年に立ち上げたリハーサル・バンドのライブ・アルバムで、(1)～(3)はマシュウズ自身のオリジナル。
フレンチ・ホルンやチューバも加えた変則編成のビッグ・バンドでアグレッシヴなサウンドを造りだしてますが、まだ後年のMJOのイメージは無く、ギル・エバンスの影響を感じられるオーケストレイションですね。

大好き度：★★

◎なかでもこの１曲！ → 「Penny Arcade」
歯切れの良いテーマ・アンサンブルがカッコいいジョー・ベック作の８ビート系ナンバー。
フュージョン系の割にはコンパクトで判り易い曲構成も個人的には好感です。
