GRPレーベルの前身の Grusin/Rosen Productions 創立から20周年の記念に制作されたアルバムで、レーベルの所属ミュージシャンによるスペシャル・ビッグバンドのジャズ・スタンダード曲集。
豪華メンバーのテクニックとパワーでジャズの名曲を極上のビッグバンドで楽しめます。
バイブとピッコロで奏でる Donna Lee は、意表は突かれますが新鮮味には欠けるかな。
バンドの迫力には圧倒されますが、せっかくならレガシーな曲よりレーベルの強みであるフュージョン/コンテンポラリー系のレパートリーのほうがよかったかも。
