1965年のロンドンで収録されたＴＶ番組からの音源と、アルバム「I Got Rhythm」としてリリースされている
1968年7月のフランス公演の音源のコンピレーション。
特にベイシー・バンドに短期間在籍したドラマーのルーファス・ジョーンズが登場する1965年のロンドンの
演奏がなかなか素晴らしく、コンピレーションにしてしまうのはちょっと勿体ないです。

演奏を聴くだけでもビックリしますが、ビデオ「Whirly-Bird」の映像を見るとその迫力に圧倒されるナンバー。
エディ・ロックジョウ・デイビスの大ブロー・テナー・ソロの後に、ルーファス・ジョーンズのまさにマシンガンのような
ドラム・ソロがたっぷり楽しめます。
